Julia's Kindergarten Graduation

Julia graduated from Kindergarten on May 25, 2010! The graduates all wore their class shirts and black felt caps. Julia walked in with her head held high. She has accomplished a lot this year. She was named Student of the Month, always did very well on her work and was a joy to her teacher Ms Katy Clevenger. It has been a fantastic year for her and I am sure she will remember it with fondness for the rest of her life.

Here the class is singing their program song of The Little Red Hen. Julia had two parts in it. She had a speaking part and also got to create some of the music with a hand held instrument. Only a few children were chosen to do that. Julia is right in the center of the group.

Here is Julia at the microphone speaking loud and clear, however we couldn't actually understand the lines because the "music" of the hand held instruments were too loud, but it was still cute.

Here is Julia giving her teacher a hug and receiving her diploma!

Congratulations Julia and well done!

Ethan's Preschool Graduation

Ethan's preschool did a graduation party and here he is performing the Alphabet Rap. He does it very well and sang it the best of the group!

Isn't he a cute proud preschool graduate?

He received his diploma from Leslie, the mom that organized the whole thing.

Congratulations Ethan!

Ethan's Preschool Pics

Ethan was very fortunate to be able to attend a co-op preschool this past year that several moms got together and we all took turns teaching the children each week. It was super fun for all of us and the kids got to learn and socialize while the moms got some free time unless they were teaching.

Here they are at their pj party:

The class got to go horseback riding one beautiful winter day. Ethan loved it!

Here they are at their Valentine's party, it was so fun to decorate the box, Ethan picked out a special Valentine for each child.

They got to go the firestation and learn about firefighters and how they will look if they are there to rescue you from a fire. It was soooo fun to get into the fire engine!

Julia's two front teeth

Julia lost her two front teeth in April! Here she is without them!

Easter 2010 with Julia and Ethan

For Easter this year, we enjoyed our community's first ever Easter Egg Hunt. It was a huge success with almost the entire city there! It was full of activities and millions of eggs, well at least it seemed like it! Ethan got the most eggs in his age group and had lots of fun. Julia did very well on her age group's hunt considering that there were hundreds of kids there!
These are pictures of the hunt and the day. Ethan loved seeing and greeting the Easter Bunny, Julia was terrified of him. They both got their faces painted, Julia's was a rabbit and Ethan wanted a Farmington Cardinal. They got to play a rubber ducky game too. We can't wait until next year's event!

J.C.' s 11th Birthday

It is hard to believe J.C. is 11. He had a good birthday! He enjoyed his presents and in got a kick out of the the fart maker, but what boy wouldn't? On his birthday, we had his favorite cake, angel food with berries and took him out for his one of his favorite meals - Orange Chicken at the Thai House. On the weekend, we had lunch with Sally, J.C.'s birth mom and her family. We topped off the fun by seeing Fiddler on the Roof. It was three hours long, but J.C. really liked it and we continue to sing the songs around the house.

J.C. 's First Zit

If only this would be the last..... J.C. is finding out quickly that growing up isn't all that wonderful. It comes with things, like hormone fluctuations which turn in to artwork on the face. Not exactly a masterpiece, but it is reality. He is, however, very proud of his tiny mustache hairs.

New Year's in Vegas

After Christmas we headed down to Vegas where Uncle Matt and Aunt Kim. Their son Jacob turned 8 and was baptized. The kids had a good visit with their cousins, they enjoyed playing and running around. Matt and Kim have a huge front room, perfect for fun!

I'm not sure why we don't have pictures of Jake in his suit or any others from the baptism, but we won't forget the day and are proud of Jake for making such a great choice and thanks to Matt and Kim for letting us hang out at their house.
