Humidity and Horses!

It has been another great two weeks! We have had the experience of full humidity and have handled it really well. I will tell you that Wheat Thins don't taste good soft! Ethan didn't mind though as he ate a ton of them regardless! Ethan has been eating like crazy still. He will out eat me on a regular basis. I am in trouble when he is a teenager, his metabolism is amazing. He is running almost everywhere. He just got some Thomas the Tank Engine sandals and wears them everywhere. He even wants to wear them to bed. He is learning his colors and can say white, red and green and name them correctly. It is fun to see him picking up on things like that. He also loves to build with lego blocks. He really has great coordination. He is doing a little better with Nursery at church and he is becoming more and more independent which means that the terrible twos are starting, but it is really nice to see him doing more for himself.
Julia is doing great. Her hair has started to grow faster and it is getting longer finally. JC really did a number to it and now it looks almost normal. Her bangs are almost a good length. She is in heaven with the miniature horses on the farm, they came last week. We have 4 horses with one more to come in July. There is a gelding, neutered male, that is trained to pull a cart, a cute little female who is shy, and two stallions that are beautiful. The fifth will be a mare that is pregnant. Julia helps Grandpa walk and brush the horses. She just loves it. My parents are in heaven they love having all the animals and taking care of all the farm chores.
JC finished up school and that was hard for him. He had a great last two weeks that ended in a fun field day and celebration. He loved his teacher Mrs Brock. He made some good friends and is looking forward to seeing them this summer. JC has mucked out the horse stalls already and did really well and enjoyed the hard work. He loves the horses too, but can't wait to get a "real" one, a standard size horse, so that we can ride it, I have no idea when that will happen. Julia is small enough to be able to ride a mini, but JC is too big already. He tops 70 lbs, he is so solid. JC continues to enjoy his art classes and he loves being a Cub Scout. In art he has made ceramic wind chimes, a watercolor painting and a paper/fiber collage. In Cub Scouts he has done service projects, made a mother's day gift and made dessert creations.
We went to the local zoo this past weekend and the kids loved it. Ethan was way into the birds, Julia loved the giraffes and JC loved everything. It is a really nice zoo, and it is close. We also went out to eat to celebrate Nathan's birthday on Memorial Day, the kids did great eating out and we all had a lot of fun.
The house is completely framed and the roof is being put on. It looks great.
