Tubing

Kathryn's company had a Winter Fun Activity where we all went tubing up at Soldier Hallow near Midvale Utah. It was a beautiful day, but as the afternoon wore on, the snow became icier. We attached our tubs to the lift and went to the top for another run. They tell you to drag your feet to help you stop at the bottom. Some of us drug our feet the entire way, but it didn't help. It is a good thing there are 4 layers of fence before you drop off the other side of the hill. JC and Jamey only went through 1 1/2 layers of fence.

Julia's first lost tooth!

 

Julia lost her first tooth on Feb 20th! It just popped out into her hand! The tooth fairy came and gave her a quarter! She was so excited to find the quarter in the morning! Our little girl is growing up so fast!

Thank you Sitto!

Sitto's (Grandma's) Valentines gift to J.C. was to take him to Chuck E Cheese. He and his friend Tyler had a ball.

J.C. ended up with over 500 tickets, which turned into a plastic cockroach, a water filled lizard, 2 rubber worms, 2 plastic lizards and an airhead.

Julia at 5 years old. She is so beautiful and has gorgeous hair and eyes. She is 3' 7" tall.



What a handsome little boy! Ethan continues to nab the women with his eyes and he is all muscle. He stands tall at 3'4". He can't wait until he can play football!

Winter Fun

Christmas Day we drove to Las Vegas. We actually got to see it snow in Las Vegas. We spent time with cousins and Grandparents from Jamey and Kathryn's families. We spent a day doing the children's version of being a Vegas tourist. Pictured above are the lion habitat at the MGM Grand, and Jacob, Tori and JC with the Flamingos at the Flamingo hotel. We also went to the Statue display and laser light show at Caesar’s Palace, FAO Schwartz (an awesome toy store), ate at In-N-Out and made it just in time for the fountain show at the Bellagio, synchronized to the Hallelujah chorus, followed by eating Gelato.

The other picture above is of the Tori, Jacob and JC with their Poppy bears. Poppy is the grandfather who died in September 2007. Sitto had a Poppy bear for each grandchild made out of one of Poppy's shirts. The children love their Poppy and their Poppy bears.

The Christmas Season has sadly come and gone too fast. We had a lot of fun. At the BYU employee's Christmas party, JC broke open a Rudolf Piñata. He was more interested in claiming the Reindeer's backside than the candy. Got to love boys! JC also decorated a gingerbread house; he even saved some to share with Sitto (Lebanese for Grandma). On Family Night we went on a ride on a miniature train - the Polar Bear Express. We hopped aboard to see the Christmas lights and the beautiful pictures depicting the story of Jesus' birth. We have also had a lot of snow this season. JC has helped shovel the walks, but he has spent more time making snow angels and playing in snow forts.

Christmas 2008

We had a wonderful Christmas this year. Julia and Ethan loved having Santa come to our house. They loved dressing up as Mary and Joseph and wrapping the baby Jesus in swaddling clothes. We loved spending the day with Chris' mom, Candy and just enjoying the spirit of Christmas. Here are a few pictures of our Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
